What is choclate point?

Chocolate point is a color variant in certain cat breeds, most notably in Siamese cats. These cats have a creamy body color with chocolate-brown points on their face, ears, paws, and tail. The coloration is caused by a genetic mutation that affects the production of pigment in the hair shafts. The chocolate point variety of Siamese cats is recognized by prominent cat organizations such as The International Cat Association (TICA) and the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA). Chocolate point cats are known for their playful and affectionate personalities and can make excellent companions. However, they require regular grooming to keep their coat healthy and shiny.
